Salt Lake Poker Tour "We Bring Poker to the People"

Qualifying for the Final Tournament

The final list of qualifiers can be found here.

How It Works:

SLPT will qualify up to 80 players for the final tournament, which will be held on Saturday October 25th at Oscars, 5pm.
In order to qualify, a player must do one of the following:
- Finish the points period in the top 10 of any particular bar or venue (see below)
- Finish the points period in the top 20 of the master points list (see below)
Venues where players can receive points are:
- The Point After
- The Cell Block
- Oscars
- Woodshed
- Johnny's on Second
- Piper Down
Players receive points for finishing in the top nine places for any main tournament.
One point for 9th, eight points for 2nd, and 10 points for 1st on a two-table tournament.
Points are adjusted according to the number of tables in the tournament (Points are multiplied by 1.5 for a three-table tournament, by 2 for a four-table tournament, and so on).
Players receive points for finishing 1st (7 pts.) or 2nd (3 pts.) in any side game or one table tournament.
At the end of a tournament with 2 tables or more, the soul chip leader will receive 1 point for every table in the main tournament, in addition to any points he or she receives for finishing in the top nine places.
The top 10 players for each venue will be determined in the following way:
- The top 10 points finishers from The Cell Block will qualify according to their points totals
- If any of the qualifiers from The Cell Block also qualify at another venue, their name will be removed from the points list for those venues (so they still qualify through The Cell Block, but not another venue as well).
- The top 10 points finishers from The Point After will qualify according to their points totals.
- As with The Cell Block, if any of the qualifiers from The Point After also qualify at another venue, their name will be removed from the points list for those venues.
- This process will continue for the remaining venues, in the following order:
  - Oscars
  - Johnny's on Second
  - Piper Down
After all of the top 10 finishers for each venue have been determined, the top 30 finishers from the master points list will also qualify. Note that these players will be determined as above, with the qualifiers from the individual venues being removed from the master points list, and the remaining players "bumped up" the list.
Points will be recorded and displayed online.
Players’ names must be recorded on the tournament standings sheets in order to receive points.
Points will be recorded over a 12-week period, starting Sunday August 3rd (2pm game at Piper), and ending on Thursday October 23rd (at Johnny's).
If you notice that your name has been misspelled (or your point total does not seem correct), you have two options. First option: get over it and try not to write so damn messy next time. Second option: email me and let me know.
Points will be updated 2 - 3 times per week.
Note: Players with the same point totals will be listed in alphabetical order (by first name) until the final posting.
The starting stack for the final tournament will be 16,000. However, players who finish in the top 20 of the master list will receive additional chips according to the following schedule:
- 1st: 12,000
- 2nd-5th: 8,000
- 6th-10th: 5,000
- 11th-20th: 3,000
Rules and terms are subject to change at the discretion of SLPT, however every effort will be made to inform players of any changes.
